The Palace of Knossos
Knossos was (probably) the capital of the Minoan civilization. Sir Arthur
Evans excavated it starting in 1900, and attemped to reconstruct part of it.
Since he was one of the first archeologists, he didn't know any better.
Parts I thought photographed well
One of the lightwells. It was under a canvas shade, which gave the
excellent sand color to the gray stone.
