A sad looking peregrine falcon (F. peregrinus) in its cage. I'm unreasonably
pleased by this picture. My camera's autofocus got hopelessly confused
by netting behind the chain-link cage. I had to use my mighty photography
skills to hand-focus the camera and fiddle with the depth of field. The latter
put the netting so far out of focus that it can't be seen in this picture.

A small group of east-coasters (H. sapiens sp.) entertaining and being
entained by a juvenile of the species.

A study of one of them. Hint to jealous H. saps: If you want your picture
taken, pay no attention to the man behind the camera.

The mighty big-game photographer now turns his attention to less mobile
prey. This is just a study of fall colors. Move along.

I think this is an excellent composition of an uprooted tree. It's marred
by one tiny boo-boo: the very deep depth of field that makes the log in
the background sometimes seem to hang in space. Memo to self: when using
camera in fully manual mode, please to check settings.
